R. Munn Farms specializes in row-crop production in the fertile Columbia basin of Washington.

R. Munn Farms was established in the Horse Heaven Hills near Prosser, Washington in 1976 by Robert Munn.  Robert began farming in 1956 near Nyssa, Oregon and through the years has been involved in many different types of farming as well as livestock.  Today the farm is a partnership between Robert and three of his sons; Randy, Ryan and Rob, hence the four 'R's in the company logo.  Many different crops have been grown over the past three decades, currently the crops grown on the farm are onions, shallots, sugar beets, fresh peas, green beans, wheat and seed crops such as bluegrass, peas and beans.  All of the farm's crops are grown under center pivot irrigation, with water from the Columbia River.  In an area with only seven inches of annual rainfall the river makes an otherwise desert region into a cornucopia of agricultural production.

The farm is involved in other partnerships as well.  All of the onions grown on the farm are packed and marketed through Sunset Produce.  The grass seed crops are cleaned and marketed through Columbia River Seed.  Also, R. Munn Farms is a grower-member of Snake River Sugar Company, which processes the sugar beets and handles the sales of the sugar refined from the beets.

This website is meant to provide information and photos for your curiosity about farming in eastern Washington.  If you have any questions or comments just send us an email.  Thank you.
